UnlitHero: Quit Smoking RPG

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This policy explains how UnlitHero and unlithero.app use and manage account identifiers, quit-smoking journey information, and game data. Your quit-smoking journey is private by default and is not shown to other players.

Sign-in and cloud saves run on Cloudflare Workers and D1, so you can continue your own quit-smoking journey and character adventure after signing in.

Information We Handle

Sign-in and account identifiers
The email address where you receive one-time verification codes, and the account user ID created by the service. These identify your sign-in and link your information to the same account.
Sign-in security information
Your IP address, browser or app user agent, and sign-in session information, used to authenticate sessions, protect accounts, and address security issues.
Private quit-smoking journey
Your selected journey stage and dates, smoking-related records, daily attempts and action confirmations, personal reflections, and quit-smoking support content you choose to save. This information lets you view and continue your own journey.
Game saves
Your character adventure progress, earned rewards, and equipment status, used to save and restore your game progress.

You may record information according to your own circumstances. UnlitHero does not provide individual diagnoses or prescriptions, and it does not award game rewards based on medication names, doses, or quantities. You can continue following the treatment plan arranged by your healthcare professional.

Purpose, Service Providers, and Safeguards

Your email address and user ID authenticate your account and organize your personal saves. Your IP address, user agent, and session information support sign-in security. Journey information and game saves provide the personal features you choose to use. The first release is free and has no ads, analytics, or in-app purchases.

Cloudflare Workers and D1 provide the backend runtime and database infrastructure. Cloudflare processes the network and account information necessary to operate its services. Data processing regions depend on the production deployment configuration and Cloudflare’s service arrangements.

Sign-in sessions control access to account information. The native app stores sign-in credentials in secure storage provided by the operating system; web sign-in credentials are kept for the current browsing session. Network transmission and database security also depend on production deployment settings and the service provider’s safeguards.

Device Reminders and Data Export

You can choose whether to turn on daily reminders. Your iOS or Android device schedules reminders locally, and the reminder time does not need to be sent to the account backend. Turn reminders off in the app’s “Account & Privacy” settings, or manage notification permission in your device settings.

You can export JSON data from “Account & Privacy.” An export may include your email address, journey records, reflections, and game progress, so choose a secure place to store it. Any file you share or save through your device’s sharing features is managed by the receiving app or service under its own policies. Deleting your account does not automatically retrieve exported copies.

Retention, Access, and Deletion

Account information is kept while you use account features to provide sign-in, personal saves, and data export. You can view and export your information in the app, or request deletion as described on the Delete Account page.

After deletion is completed, the primary D1 database deletes the account and its associated sign-in sessions, private journey, and game saves. Provider backup copies may remain until overwritten under the provider’s backup cycle; account deletion does not guarantee immediate removal from backups. Security logs and information that must be kept by law are handled according to production service settings and applicable requirements.

Adults and Policy Updates

The product is intended for adults seeking smoking-cessation support. If you have questions about information relating to a minor, please contact the support email address.

We update this page and its revision date when the policy changes. If there is a material change to our data uses or services, we will provide relevant information in the app or on the website.
